This kit includes:
3 different foundations in the same color family so you can custom blend your foundation or contour, highlight and blend!
A small size of Skin Prep Fx: Described on the package as a "nourishing foundation primer and anti-aging serum.
Translucent Setting Powder called Setting Fx
and last but not least a Cover Fx Foundation brush and instructional DVD (DVD not pictured)
I used this for about two months to truly see how this would perform on my skin since it is very sensitive and reacts differently to popular foundations. I also have lots of scaring due to acne i had in high school and hyper pigmentation so i usually need a LOT of makeup (concealer, foundation and foundation powder) to cover my spots. i then end up spending lots of time cleansing my face to make sure my pores don't clog up.
This is a CREAM foundation so it must be used with a light hand. My first time using this i put on far too much and looked like i was preparing for the stage with heavy heavy makeup. But,after trial and error, since i am no expert or makeup artist, i have complied some easy steps to ensure perfectly executed application. After you use Skin Prep Fx try these simple steps
First:
Pick out your best stippling brush, flat head kabuki(like a Sigma F80) or just use a disposable sponge. Even though there is a brush provided, i found it hard to use and move around my face. This really my ONLY complaint with this system.
Second:
Spray your brush or sponge with water. Caution, DO NOT SOAK BRUSH OR SPONGE. you want just enough water to dampen your tool to make the cream a little more sheer and glide on easier so you don't tug and pull on skin.
Third:
Take a little ,VERY little of foundation and warm it up on the back of your hand. If you have a small spatula or scoop you can use that, i typically use a toothpick since i can just throw it away. once the foundation is warmed up dip your damp brush/sponge into foundation and use small patting motions to evenly distribute product (bouncing motion). This is a very FULL COVERAGE foundation so start out with a little and work you way up to more coverage, but im sure you wont need very much.
Fourth:
Use a puff or powder brush and use Setting Fx to set foundation.
You can also use the lighter shade to conceal under eye circles and highlighting and the darker shade for contouring. You can really sculpt, highlight, conceal and cover with this one kit.
Highlighting and Contouring
All Blended with my foundation shade!
